FRANK Water is a small team of ethical entrepreneurs based in Bristol that save lives through funding innovative and sustainable clean water projects in developing countries. They began in 2005 after founder Katie Alcott contracted dysentery from drinking dirty water. We take the fact that we have access to clean water for granted, but other parts of the world aren’t so fortunate, with more than 4,000 children dying every day from lack of clean drinking water.
Since FRANK’s inception and primarily through selling ethical bottled water, they have funded 116 clean water projects.
World Water Day is on the 22nd March 2014 and to mark the occasion, FRANK are asking people to host a ‘Karma Korma’, either at home with friends, or at work with colleagues. All you have to do is serve up a curry and collect cash in return, which will go towards FRANK’s ongoing clean water projects. You can register for a free fundraising kit, which includes a poster, name cards, recipes and a spice pack to get you started.
