Bridges is a social enterprise that exists to make a difference to the lives of people who live with acute and long-term conditions, by working with teams from health, social care and the third sector, to define and deliver best practice in self-management support.
Bridges work with many different audiences; practitioners, managers, commissioners and researchers, as well as those living with long term conditions. Their challenge was to clarify their offer to each type of user, and share their vast wealth of knowledge in an accessible and relevant way for all visitors. They also wanted to clearly show the distinction between their different activities and demonstrate the social impact of their programmes whilst communicating their values of professional, personal and inclusive.
Bridges are far more than a service provider, and they wanted it to be apparent that they build their services on two-way communication: they don’t just give out information but facilitate and enable people to take charge of their own care. The website needed to encourage interaction and show that it’s a space where collaboration is welcomed.
What we did
We created a cleaner, simpler website, with content organised in a way that ensures information is clearly and readily accessible to the various different audiences.
The Bridges story is told through the voices of real beneficiaries, to demonstrate their approachability. Case studies, photographs and quotes from people who have benefitted from their services are used throughout the website.
We also provided Bridges with a flexible new content management system that allows them to easily add and update content themselves, so that they can continue to demonstrate their adaptable nature and maintain consistency across the website.
