RE-WORKED – INVESTING IN GREEN TECHNOLOGY & SOCIAL ENTERPRISE

Last year we wrote about Bio-Bean, who turn waste coffee grounds in to Advanced Biofuels. We’ve recently discovered Re-worked, a non-profit industrial design and product manufacturing company that invests in green technologies and social enterprise.

The driving force behind Re-worked, Adam Fairweather, wanted to get people excited about the idea of sustainability, social change and environmental issues, which he does by using waste coffee grounds to make furniture, jewellery and even coffee machines.

As Re-worked is a small-scale enterprise that survives on funding rather than revenue, there’s not too much info on them yet, but you can read about what they’re up to and the people they’re working with on the Re-worked blog.
