WISE UP TO WASTE IN NORTH LONDON

North London’s seven boroughs of Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Hackney, Haringey, Islington and Waltham Forest produce about 846,000 tonnes of waste each year.

The North London Waste Authority (NLWA) have a website called ‘Wise Up To Waste’ aimed at changing the way residents and businesses in north London deal with their waste and not only reduce the amount of waste produced in the first place, but the amount that goes to landfill.

The website is full of useful tips and advice on how you can recycle more, stop junk mail, compositing and an A to Z of household items that can be recycled or re-used rather than thrown away. If you live in north London and want to wise up to waste, take a look at their website.
