Most people living in London will know that Centrepoint is the rather tall 1960s building next to Tottenham Court Road Underground station, but it is also the name of a homeless charity, named after the building itself.
The Centrepoint charity provides accommodation and support to homeless people aged 16-25. They run emergency night shelters, short and long stay hostels and provide specialist projects and support services in helping young people back in to education, training or employment.
Centrepoint runs regular events to help raise funds and awareness, all of which are listed on their website. If you’d like to do something yourself, or with members of your community, then they have lots of ideas for fundraising events you can hold.
